Turn Conflict Into Connection

Upcoming Nonviolent Communication Workshops:

  • How to Receive Without Getting Triggered, Shutting Down or Trying to Fix

    Monday 12/01/25 7pm - 9pm

Learn how to truly listen and understand others' feelings and needs in our online event Nonviolent Communication: Receiving Empathically.

This online Nonviolent Communication (NVC) practice workshop focuses on one of the most common relational challenges: receiving what someone is sharing without reacting, withdrawing, or moving into fixing mode.

Many people struggle to stay present when emotions are high — especially in close relationships. This session helps you build the internal capacity to listen without losing yourself.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

Stay emotionally regulated when someone shares something difficult

Notice triggers without reacting or shutting down

Receive feedback or emotions without becoming defensive

Stop the urge to fix, explain, or minimise

Listen with empathy while staying connected to your own needs

Respond thoughtfully instead of reacting automatically

This is a practical, embodied practice session, not theory-heavy teaching. You’ll be guided through real-life examples and simple NVC tools you can use immediately in relationships, work, and everyday conversations.

Whether you’re navigating relationships, parenting, leadership, or simply want to feel more connected and less reactive — this workshop offers tools you can use immediately.

  • Connecting Compassionately with Ourselves

    Monday 26/01/26

Most of us have been taught how to care for others — but not how to truly care for ourselves - An NVC Workshop on Self-Empathy...

An NVC Workshop on Self-Empathy, Inner Dialogue & Emotional Healing

Most of us have been taught how to care for others — but not how to truly care for ourselves.

This workshop invites you into the practice of self-empathy: the art of meeting your inner world with compassion, not criticism. Using the tools of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), you’ll learn how to listen inwardly with kindness, name your needs without shame, and transform your inner dialogue from harsh to healing.

🧘‍♀️ In this session, you’ll explore:

What it really means to be self-compassionate (beyond bubble baths)

How to identify the needs beneath your inner critic

Tools to soothe emotional spirals through gentle inquiry

How to make room for all parts of yourself — even the ones you usually silence

Simple self-empathy practices you can use every day

This workshop blends reflection, practice, and heart-led discussion to help you strengthen your emotional resilience and inner connection.

No prior NVC experience is needed — just bring your honest self and a willingness to soften.

This is not just a theory-based workshop—it’s a hands-on practice session where you’ll apply what you learn in real-time so you can leave feeling empowered to ask for what you need—and actually get it.

  • Nonviolent Communication (NVC) taught me how to navigate the most difficult relationship in my life—my relationship with my mother. Our relationship had always been turbulent. She left when I was just two years old, and things remained strained after she returned when I was around 13. I lived with her briefly at 15 or 16, but the experience was so difficult that I eventually returned to live with my father. Over time, I shifted from being a passive participant in our relationship to reacting with anger and blame. I held her responsible for much of the pain and instability in our family, believing that her absence had left a void no one could fill. NVC helped me find a new way forward. It taught me how to express my feelings honestly and my needs clearly—without aggression or blame. That delicate balance was something I had never been able to achieve before. For much of my life, I was a people-pleaser, always tending to others’ needs and silently hoping they would reciprocate. Often, they didn’t—and I was left feeling overlooked and taken for granted, both personally and professionally. When I began learning NVC, I knew I had to first apply it to the relationship with my mother. Today, I’m able to listen to her with empathy while expressing my own needs with clarity and compassion—without conflict. It’s been transformative. Now, I’m applying the same approach in my professional life, and I’m already beginning to see positive changes. Thank you, Ayesha
